Homework Policy

Homework is written daily on the board. Students are expected to write their
assignments in their assignment notebooks. Assignments are usually due the
next day unless otherwise stated.

The homework assignments listed on this webpage are provided for
convenience, but are not the primary source. Students get their homework
assignments on the board every day, and it is brought to their attention. It
is not excused when a student does not write down the homework assigned in
class. Occasionally circumstances cause us to deviate from the posted
information, and it may not get posted on the webpage. The assignment
notebook has the latest information available.

Homework is additional practice at home that reinforces those skills and
concepts learned in the classroom. Your child is responsible for completing
daily assignments and homework. The amount of homework may vary according to
the child’s academic needs. Some children are able to complete most of their
assignments / homework at school, and they only bring home what they need to
study. Most children need the additional practice and benefit from the
extra reinforcement they receive from their parents. Children also benefit
from reading for 10 to 15 minutes in the evening.

Incomplete homework must be made up and turned in the day it is due. This is
usually made up at recess. Thank you for your continuing support and by
working together we can develop those "time management skills" needed to
be successful.
