This is my 25th year of teaching.
I have been here at Abita for 22 of those years.
I taught 5th grade for 19 years and I have been teaching 6th grade for 6
years.
I have two wonderful children. Elizabeth is 20 years old and she is
now living in Romania with her husband, George. Alana is 15, and she is
in 9th Grade at FHS. I was married to Bill Demick for 20 years, and I am
sad to say that he passed away on October 6, 2008. He will be greatly missed.
I love to read, write poetry, play the piano, and sing. Alana and I have the
following pets: 1 rabbit-Oreo, 3 dogs-Peanut, Cookie, and Reece, and 1 cat-
Crackers. (Can you tell we like snacks???) We are also caring for Elizabeth's
two parakeets.
