* These are announcements for the week of November 30th.
* The field trip is Dec. 9, this is for my chaperones, I will need you
to give me your cell phone number so that if we get seperated in the
insectarium and I need to contact you I can do that easily.
* We are on unit 16. We are reading a novel, "Stone Fox", except for
3 students, they are reading "The Chocolate Touch". Stone Fox group will
take an online quiz daily and the other group will have a daily quiz too,
just not online.
* There will be a writing activity where the children have to write
dialogue, due Friday. I postponed this from last week.
*Speaking of reading, congratulations to Robby who has made his AR goal
already.
* In social studies we begin learning about some history along with the
beginnings of history of the NE region. When we finish this next section we
will take a test on all lessons, this will be the week of Dec. 7th.
* In science we are working on human body systems, there is a quiz on all
of chapter 4 Friday.
ALL D'S AND F'S ON TESTS NEED TO BE SIGNED, ONCE I SEE
THE SIGNATURE THEN THE TEST WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU.
* We will study of the 9's, speed test Friday.
* In math we are in various stages of multiplication, the pink group is
working on double digit multiplication, the black group is working on 3 digit
multiplication, and the gold group is finished multiplication and is working
on long division. Individual groups have a test Friday and all of the tests
will include divisibility rules.
* The last 2 reading tests showed many children not studying their
vocab. so i will be adding additional work so that they can have better
understanding of those words. During studying have them make sentences with
the words. This will take effect when we finish the novels. We will be
studying suffixes and there will be a test on that Friday as well.
