I have been a resident of Slidell for over 30 years and I have been a
teacher in St.Tammany Parish for over fifteen years. I am starting my fourth
year at Abney and I am so excited about this upcoming year.
I enjoy reading, shopping, and spending time with my family. I have a
husband,James, who is also Abney's mailman(!), 2 sons: Patrick age 12 and
Preston age 7, and two dogs: a 12 year old Yorkie named Pookie, and a 1 1/2
year old Pug named Popeye.
I collect unusual salt & pepper shakers and love to eat anything with sugar
in it!
Our mission is to become strong, independent readers who love to learn new
things. We will strive to learn new words each day and work together to have
a classroom community that is fun,safe and welcoming.
We will also work to make new friends and care for each other every day.
When you step into our classroom, you should see students actively engaged
in learning and a teacher who loves all of her students.
