Language- Common and Proper Nouns; pages 84-85-Students will participate in
various activities throughout the week while learning about different types
of poems and poem structure.
“Writing for Excellence”- “The dictionary says that the word beauty means:
the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep
satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations (as
shape, color, sound, etc.), a meaningful design or pattern, or something
else. YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO REWRITE THE DEFINITION OF BEAUTY. WHAT IS
BEAUTY TO YOU?" Note: We will use the Write from the Beginning format each
week in writing. Writing will be completed in class unless assigned for
homework. Writing for Excellence is a school wide program. Mr. Alford
assigns the topic each week. All writings are displayed in the hall each
week.)
