Spelling- Unit 9
Language- Verbs and Reviewing combining sentences; Writing for
Excellence: "Beauty is..."
Reading-Assessing the skills of Making Inferences and Problem and Solution;
cause and effect;
Using context clues to determine word meanings;reading with expression and
fluency
THIS WEEK: We are in part 3 of Bridge to Terabithia. We will read through
chapter 9 this week. Students are still defining words by using context clues
in the story. Also, students have been given comprehension questions for hte
chapters we have read so far to answer. These are for a grade at the end of
each week. They have class time to do this. In Language we will be finishing
up the unit of verbs and focusing on finishing our writing topic 'Beauty
is.." I will be picking this up Thursday so I can enter some of them into the
PTA Reflections contest.
THis Friday we go to JA BizTown. PLEASE have your child put his/her name on
their lunch sack BEFORE coming to school with it. If they are buying a school
lunch we will do that here.
If your child has no returned permission form yet they must do so or they can
not go!!!!
