Fish Focus: Make Someone's Day

Language- Verbs and Reviewing combining sentences; Writing for
Excellence: "I can plan a special Saturday..."
Reading-Assessing the skills of Making Inferences and Problem and Solution;
cause and effect;Story: "Sleds on Boston Common"
Using context clues to determine word meanings;reading with expression and
fluency
THIS WEEK: We are still in the same story "Sleds on Boston Common." This
week, we will focus on drawing conclusions and cause and effect using our
story and other leveled readers. On Friday, students will take a
comprehension test along with the AR test for this story. Vocabulary was
taken last week and was sent home in graded papers. In language we are
continuing with verbs and subject verb agreement. We will have an assessment
on Lessons 10 and 11 form Unit 5 in the textbook. All FINAL DRAFTS of writngs
are due FRIDAY. We have proofread and made corrections and all are inthe
process of writing final and neat copies.
We will have our Christmas party next Thursday from 1-2. I will send home a
list of items to bring.
