This week at a glance:
Spelling- Unit 26 (plurals)
Language- Verbs and Reviewing combining sentences
Reading-Assessing the skills of Making Inferences and Problem and Solution;
Fact and opinion;reading with expression and fluency
THIS WEEK: We will begin "Bridge to Terebithia" this week. Chapters 1-3 will
be read in class and discussed. Students have made a response journal for
this week's activities. This journal will be picked up on Friday for a grade.
The novel will be covered over the next several weeks. We will work in
stations to cover skills and we will engage in Literature Circles as well.
All vocabulary words will be covered in class and each response journal will
have a list of words for that week.
Spelling and Language will come out of our textbooks for the next several
weeks while we are in the novel. Students are still instructed to write down
homework assignments for the week on Monday. All Spelling assignments are due
on Thursdays and Language assignments are due on Fridays.
Social Studies this week will focus maily on job responsibilities for Biz
Town. I will be calling our volunteers in the next couple of days to let you
know about training and what conmpany you are "manning."
