HOMEWORK IS POSTED WEEKLY UNDER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Any homework given will be written in the students' agenda. Please check it
nightly and sign that you have seen the completed homework.
*Remember that reading 20 minutes of Accelerated Reading is part of their
homwork. Please sign their Reading Log nightly.*
Mrs.Day’s Homework Policy
Homework may be assigned each night except for weekends.
Homework is given for a grade in my class. Although I do check for
accuracy, the grade comes primarily from the completion of the assignment.
The following are guidelines I use to grade homework:
If the assignment is completed and an effort was made the student receives
(1) point.
Homework is checked each day. At the end of the week the student should
have (4) points.
At the end of the week the students are given a grade according to the chart
below:
0 Points=F
1 Points=D
2 Points=C
3 Points=B
4 Points=A
At the end of each week one homework grade is added to both Reading and
Language.
Homework is approximately 1/9 of the student’s grade.
Be sure to check your child’s agenda each day!
