IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
There are many ways to get involved at Bayou Woods through PTA. One is to
sign up for Three for Me. Three for Me, an official PTA program, is a simple
promise from a parent to a child to dedicate three hours to them each school
year at home, school or in the community. At the end of the year, everyone
at Bayou Woods who fulfills their Three for Me promise will be awarded a
certificate and entered into a drawing for three $25.00 gift certificates.

sheet to school:

Another way to get involved is to help with any of the activities, events,
and committees listed below. Your assistance is needed to ensure their
success. Please see what interests you and check the corresponding line.
____ Dads Club- social and services projects.
____ Pencil Sales (Wed. at 8:00 a.m.)- Selling pencils
before school.
____ Beautification- landscaping school grounds.
____ T-Shirts Sales- filling orders & distribution
____ Cultural Arts Contests
____ Labels Committee- sorting Box Tops,
distributing contest information. Campbell’s soup labels.
____ Fund Raiser (spring) - Organize &/ Team for distributing
orders.
____Book Fair- helping kids select books.
____ Fund Raiser (fall) - Organize &/ Team for distributing
orders
____ Phone Comm. - calling 5-10 people off volunteer list about volunteer
needs.
____ Secret Santa Shop- help organize, kids shop, and/or
wrap gifts, etc.
____ Special Persons to Breakfast- planning assisting at event.
____ Teacher Relief – sitting in a class while the teacher is at a meeting
(no planning or special skills required)
____ Restaurant Nights- Organize several evenings throughout the school year
when we can gather at a restaurant or order takeout food.
____ Field Day (End of School) - help to organize, set up, sending in
items, assist in working station, etc.
____ School library- work with the school librarian to provide volunteers to
the library.
____ Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week- Help Organize, donations,
preparing food,sponsorship, and distribution
____ Newsletter Comm. - to publish monthly or every other month, PTA
Newsletter and all other aspects of newsletter editing/production
____ Publicity- contact newspapers about events, this can be as easy as
sending in pictures from school events.
Each committee should consists of at least 2 or 3 people.
