 Math:
  • Students listen to the teacher read and then discuss Anno's Counting Book by Mitsumasa anno or a similar book about counting past 10.
  • Students will begin making a class counting book to twenty.
  • Students listen to the teacher read and discuss a book about counting to 20 such as Bears At The Beach, Counting 10 to 2 by Niki Yektai or Let's Count It Out, Jesse Bear by Nancy White Caristrom.
Morning Messages:
  1. What animal do you like best?
  2. What is something kittens like to do?
  3. What is a way to keep a pet healthy?
  4. What is the best pet? A____is the best pet.
  5. Which animal story is your favorite? 
Art: Cut sponges into chunks. Clip each chunk with a spring-type clothespin. Use black paint to paint cow spots on large sheets of paper. The student may choose to make a cow and dot the spots on it. 
   
At Home: Respectfully yours - Together create family rules that contain the word "respect". Have your child draw a picture for each rule -  Discuss vocabulary words: behind, under, and on. Have your child draw a picture of his/her favorite animal.
