Announcements

Dear Parents, Students, and Community Friends,
Staying focused and being persistent throughout this semester are
necessary goals for high academic achievement. While students are encouraged
to participate in one or more of the many activities available to them both
in school and out of school, they/parents are cautioned to balance the
measure of time involved with the measure of value placed on the activity.
Because there are so many wonderful programs in which students can
participate, it is absolutely necessary to be very selective in making
choices that best fit the individual's time schedule.I encourage parents to
take an inventory of what their time is being spent on and to determine the
measure of value associated with each activity.
The Mardi Gras holidays will begin February 15, and school will reopen on
February 22, 2010. We have settled into the new semester and hopefully we
all can learn lessons from the success and failure experienced during the
first semester. The second semester of this school year marks a new academic
challenge. It is essential that students be at school unless legitimately
ill. If students are not meeting their potential because they are not doing
their work. Teachers can just do so much. This problem require parental
attention and involvement. You can make a difference that will result in a
better education for your child. Please help address this problem.
Thank you for your continued support. Please continue to support and
encourage your children to do their very best. My primary goal is to
continually improve the academic performance of my students and to provide
the quality of instruction that best prepares them for higher education
challenges. By working together, we provide the best education he/she is
entitled to. We will continue to model Bayou Wood's Fish Philosophy
and "CHAMPS" School Expectations. Refer to the calendar for upcoming events.

She replied, "To have sight without vision".
