Highlighted words and challenge words are the only words your child needs to
study for the spelling test on Friday. Please be sure to use ALL SPELLING
WORDS for spelling homework.
Vocabulary:
ancient: very old; having to do with times long ago
hopeful: having promise that what is wished for will happen
unable: not having the power or skill to do something
confirm: prove to be true or correct
valid: correct based on facts or proof
* Please study the vocabulary words nightly. Your child should be able to
match the word to the definition and use the vocabulary word in a sentence.
Monday- Speller’s Choice Activity, draw the coins for 35 and 42 cents, read
the story, A Very Old Fish
Tuesday- Speller’s Choice Activity, draw the coins for 75 and 50 cents, read
the story, Meet the Super Croc
Wednesday- Speller’s Choice Activity, draw the coins for 27 and 73 cents,
read the story, Meet the Super Croc
Thursday- Study for the spelling test, read the story, Some Strange Teeth
