November 16-November 30, 2009

I have opted to minimize homework for this time period due to the large number of students out sick, and the fact that we will begin Thanksgiving Holidays on November 23. This week we are finishing our story which we began last week, and preparing for our end-of-unit performance assessments in Math and English Language Arts for Unit 2.

We will be having a Winter Celebration prior to our Winter Holiday Break. If you have any ideas about that classroom celebration, please contact me via email, at school, or at home.

When we return from Thanksgiving Break, I will be sending home the next Take Home Project Assignment. It meets components of the Parish's Guaranteed Curriculum in Math and Language Arts, and the State's Guaranteed Curriculum for Social Studies. This will be a fun project that will help you reflect on your child's life.

Free Flu Shots will be provided through the St. Tammany Parish School System.   The dates are located on the page "When Is?" You should have received a packet of information to review and complete prior to taking your child to receive his/her shots at any of the locations.
