During the week of November 30, we will cover:
Lesson 1: Mama Cat Has Three Kittens
ELA:
- learn about the letter: Oo
- review the letters m, a, s, p, t, i, n, c
- introduce the high frequency word is
- review our previous high frequency words: a, I, like, we, the, can, see, go, to, have
Math:
- measurement
- collecting data, creating graphs
- review the numbers to 10.
- patterns and sorting
These skills will be reinforced in Mrs. Lemons' room and in the general education kindergarten classrooms through learning stations, activities on the Promethean Board, and independent work.
The students will read and discuss the following stories:
-Mama Cat has Three Kittens
-Animals in Nature
-Good Pets
-books about various animals
-Nursery Rhyme: Three Little Kittens
During Morning Meeting in the general education kindergarten classrooms, the students will discuss different types of animals as well as words that begin with the letters they have covered so far. The students will also create sentences using their sight words.
Using Every Day Counts math the students will practice days of the week, months of the year, numbers, shapes, counting and patterns.

- Art- play dough - make animals
- Puzzles- safari puzzle, pet puzzle, animal puzzles
