Homework

EVERY NIGHT students are to practice reading the highlighted vocabulary
and stories that are placed in their homework folder, please initial newly
highlighted work.

If there are any worksheets in the front "return to school" pocket of their
folder, they are to be completed and returned the following day.

Please check the composition book for notes from me and write any notes to
me here also. Spelling lists are also glued into this book, along with a
list of suggested homework activities. Your child must choose 3 different
activities to complete and turn in by Friday each week.

Homework is a very worthwhile part of your child's day and it is important
to his/her success in school. We use it as a way to review and practice
important skills learned in the classroom.
Homework encourages responsibility and should not be viewed as a
punishment but as a way to help your child succeed in school. One way to
teach responsibility is by expecting your child to complete homework.
Parents, you are the key to making homework a positive experience for your
child. So please, make it a priority, provide the necessary supplies, and a
quiet learning environment.
Working together, we can make this a successful year for your child!
