Homework is given Monday through Thursday, beginning the 6th week of school. The weekly homework sheet is handed out every Monday. It almost always includes these 2 tasks: 1. create a sentence using the 2 "word family" words given for that night. All sight words that have already been introduced are listed at the top of the homework and may be used in the sentence or read for practice. 2. read the story (short Project Read handout or book that usually includes weekly sight words, "word family" words, or both. Periodically, Math Games are sent home. Children may also check out "Frog Learning Games" to play with their families. They must be returned by Monday so that others may check out that game. Please check to see that your child has completed his or her homework. Thank you.
