• READING – Stone Fox novel chapters 6-10. Each child has received a
copy of the book to use this week and next. Quiz Today on Chapters 6-7. Quiz
Tuesday on chapters 8-10. Final Test with vocabulary Thursday. Vocabulary
went home last week.
• MATH – We are finishing Patterns this week. Test Wednesday. We will
continue doing timed multiplication practice (NOT FOR A GRADE) each day to
hopefully get the kids to improve their fact skills. 8’s this week.
• SCIENCE – We will continue studying the solar system this week. Test
Friday.
• SPELLING – They have a list of the words in their binders. Friday is
the post test. No Tic-tac-toe activities this week
• SOCIAL STUDIES – We will study regions this week. Test Thursday.
Look for notes and a study guide in your child’s binder.
• LANGUAGE – We will finish (publish) writing a story of their choice
this week. (imaginative narrative)
• A.R. – 60% of their points and reading at 85% or higher is the goal
this week. S’mores for those who met this by Friday!
• NO SCHOOL – Next week due to Thanksgiving holiday.
• FRIENDSHIP STEW – Thursday with our Kindergarten buddies. Please see
note for what to send in for the stew. Also, if you’d like to send in a
dessert, you can. I didn’t put that on the list.
• CAN FOOD DRIVE – Student Council is hosting a canned food drive. Our
class is in a close 3rd place. If we bring in the most cans, we win a nacho
party! Any thing you can send in will help those less fortunate. The last
day to send them in is Wednesday.
