Behavior Expectations

We will use the "Don't be a HOT Pepper!" model to monitor our classroom
behavior. All students will start off on the "green" pepper each morning. If
a student makes a poor choice throughout the day, he/she will move their clip
down to the "yellow" pepper. If another poor choice is made, the student will
move his/her clip down to the "red" pepper. If a student still continues to
not improve his/her choices, he/she is then given a white slip. Throughout
the day, the student will have the opportunity to move his/her clip back up
towards the "green" pepper for doing the right thing! At the end of the day,
the student will record his/her color pepper on their behavior log. This log
is to be signed by a parent/guardian each night. If a student does the right
thing all day, and remains on his/her "green" pepper all day, he/she will be
given $5.00 in "Bayou Bucks" to use towards our monthly auction.
