|
Our 4th Graders will be taking the L.E.A.P (Louisiana Educational Assessment Program) test in March . In order to prepare our students for success on this test, I have prepared this site. My purpose is to encourage higher order thinking skills and prepare the students for the L.E.A.P. Format. |

What are the content standards for the LEAP?
Using Information Resources or "Library Stuff"
On this part of the test, students will be given a packet of information resources and will answer a series of 10 multiple choice and short-answer items requiring use of the material. Keep in mind that students are NOT required to read each of the information resources in detail. They will only be skimming the material in order to be able to find the material necessary to answer the questions. The following is a list of items that will be in the packet:
- Articles from encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers, or textbooks
- Parts of books (table of contents, index)
- Visual Aids (maps, graphs, tables, charts, illustrations, schedules, diagrams)
- Computer Information (such as a picture of a screen from an online card catalog)
