My name is Lynette Bruno, and I teach fourth grade at Bonne Ecole. This
will be my 15th year teaching, all of which have been at Bonne Ecole. I
received my Bachleor's Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in May
of 1995 and began teaching at Bonne Ecole in the fall of that year. I was born
and raised in Slidell, and I also come from a family of educators. I have
been happiliy married to my husband, Joel for 7 years. I have a daughter,
Holley, who is in 8th grade at Slidell Jr. High , and a wonderful stepson,
Joel, who is a senior this year at Pope John Paul High School.
Like my students, I am continually learning. I have been trained in
Responsive Classroom, Every Day Counts Math, Thinking Maps, Go Charts, Write
From the Beginning and other techniques that allow me to meet the needs of
each and every one of my students. These courses have also helped me to
continually adjust my teaching strategies to be as effective as possible.
During my time at Bonne Ecole, I have been involved in the planning and
implementation of many school activities that enhance student learning.
Throughout my years at Bonne Ecole, I have had the privilege of being
named "Elks Teacher of the Year," "Bonne Ecole's Teacher of the Year,"
and "State P.T.A. Educator of Distinction." All of these honors have meant
so much to me!
My class goal is to create a positive, supportive environment that promotes
a love of learning to all students. Our mission is to always give 100% and
to work to the best of our abilities.
