My name is Claire Molbert, and I teach second grade at Bonne Ecole. This
will be my sixth year teaching, as well as my sixth year at Bonne Ecole.
I received my Bachleors Degree from Mississippi College in December of 2001,
and began teaching in Slidell the following fall.
I am a Slidell native, and attended Bonne Ecole as a child. I have had the
wonderful opportunity to really experience what our school provides! I truly
love Bonne Ecole, and feel that the quality of education students receive
here cannot be matched.
In my time teaching, I have recieved valuable professional development
training that has included INTECH training, Responsive Classroom, Every Day
Counts, and other areas. These courses have helped me to continually adjust
my teaching strategies to be as effective as possible, and meet the variety
of needs that are present within my classroom. I am excited to be able to
apply the new strategies I am constantly learning in my classroom.
I have also had the privilege of being named Bonne Ecole Elementary's
Teacher of the Year for 2005-2006. During my time at Bonne Ecole, I have
been involved in planning for school improvement, as well as a variety of
student-centered events, including our annual RR Night. Helping connect
parents and students to our school learning environment in one of my major
goals.
This year I have so many goals for our class! Some of my hopes and dreams
for this year include:
1. To create a classroom community that values the learning and learners in
our room.
2. To teach children a love for reading, and strategies that will help them
comprehend anything they read.
3. To promote problem solving and creative thinking in a variety of
situations.
4. To promote an atmosphere of kindness, responsibility, and respect.
