ABC's of Room 37

A
Absences - Daily attendance is extremely important in fourth grade. Everyday
there is new information presented. There will be a "While You Were Out"
folder on your desk when you return. All missed work must be completed at
home. Please keep in mind that perfect attendance is awarded to kids who are
never absent, late, or dismissed.

B
Birthdays are celebrated in our class. If your child has a summer birthday,
we will celebrate his/her half birthday. Treats are welcomed. If you are
planning a party outside of school, it would be appreciated if you did not
send the invitations in to be passed out at school. This way we can avoid
any hurt feelings.

Bus Rules - Any time your child will be going somewhere other than his/her
own bus stop, please send in a note. Please let us know if your child is to
ride another bus or if he/she is going to be a walker or bike rider.

C
Classroom library books may be taken home but only one at a time. Each of my
books is leveled for our Accelerated Reader program. If a child reads one of
these at home, they may record it n their reading log as well as take a test
and use it towards their AR goal. Please help me by helping your child keep
track of borrowed books and to return them as soon as they are finished.

Write...from the Beginning

Posted on the webite is a "Wish List" of items that we could use in our
classroom. If you are shopping and see a good buy on one of these items we
would appreciate it.

Water Bottles are allowed and encouraged in class as long as they have water
only. If juice spills, it leaves a sticky mess. Freezing a small amount of
the water on the bottom of the bottle will allow the rest of the water to
stay colder longer. The kids can also refill at the fountain.

X
Kids will eXperience many opportunities for team work, decision making, and
problem solving in our class.

Y
Your child will be nurtured and encouraged to be the best student he/she can
be in Room 37. Please join me in creating a strong partnership that will
benefit students, teachers, and parents.

Z
Zillions of moments of fun are expected to be found in Room 37!!!
