Hello Everyone,
Please check your child's folder daily for homework pages and important notes
from the school. Sign the agenda and return it each day. Your child's
behavior calendar is also in the front of the agenda. I mark the calendar
daily.
"Thank You", to the parent volunteers. We had a great week last week and the
children enjoyed the Fall Celebration!
THIS WEEK IN ROOM #34
Spelling: We have 20 words each week. They can be found in your child's B.E.E
Folder. We take a pre-test every Monday and a post-test on Friday.
Spelling Words: thread, scrubs, spree, screams, stream, scratch,
spread, throne, three, screens, spray, throw,
strong, scraped, strength, thick, washing, whales,
streamer, scribble.
Reading Vocabulary Words: solar system, easily, farther, main,
dim, temperatures, telescope, probably
Reading: We will be working on a story about our solar system and planets.
Ask your child to retell the story that we are studying. Retelling is very
good practice and it helps with comprehension too!
Language: Irregular Plural Nouns.
Writing: Topic this week "A Time You When Did Something Fun or Exciting.
Math: Counting, Adding, and Subtracting Money.
Social Studies: Begin Chapter 7 and complete workbook packet for this week.
Science: Complete Unit E, Chapter 2 - Investigating Matter. Discover
Properties of Matter.
