I want to give a big THANK YOU to all of my students and parents for
showing your appreciation this past week. All of your thoughts, help, and
gifts made me feel so special. I was truly blessed to have such an
incredible class this year!
We will have a GAME DAY this Tuesday afternoon and follow it up with
popsicles! Please allow your child to bring a favorite board game to
school. These games can include: Checkers, Twister, etc. This will be a
fun time to "wrap up" a fantastic school year.
The last day of school for this year is this Wednesday, May 24.
Dismissal will begin at 12:06. All academic work will be completed by
Tuesday and we will be sending home extra supplies at that time. Please
send your child with their backpack that day to transport their items home.

P.S. We completed our Writing End of the Year assessment last week.
Afterwards, I shared with each student a writing assignment that they had
completed at the beginning of 1st grade. Everyone had a big laugh at how
much their writing had changed in a year. Please look for a copy of what
your child wrote in their Take Home folder. I think you will be touched
to see what they wrote.
