                       Week of 11-30-09

AR-  This week’s AR goal treat is Soda Day. Students will be notified on 
Thursday if they have met their weekly goal.

Christmas Party- As the holiday season begins, we would like to inform you of 
a new plan for upcoming holiday events. Bonne Ecole will have a set day and 
time for all holiday celebrations, with the Christmas/Winter celebration 
being on December 17 at 1:00pm.  ALL classroom parties /events /parent 
involvement times will be held at this time. We will have a special 
arrangement for check in at the office and all gates will be open to allow 
for extra parking.

Concert- Our violin students will perform a concert at 7:00pm on Tuesday, 
December 1.

Fundraiser- Blizzard Beach night is Wednesday, December 2. With the 
fundraiser money from the cookie dough sales, I have purchased an IPOD touch 
for the classroom. We cannot wait to start using it!

Spotlight on this week:

Reading: We will be reading a Historical Fiction story entitled Goin' 
Someplace Special. The at home CD can be used for activities for this story.

Grammar: Irregular Verbs

Writing: Imaginative Narrative: "I woke up with antlers on my head one 
morning."

Spelling: Unit 16 words

Math: Congruence and Symmetry
 
Science: Unit B Chapter 3 on Biomes.

Social Studies: Ch. 4- Spain Builds an Empire
