/h/ as in house; /d/ as in dog;
/t/ as in tiger; /g/ as in ginger;

/sh/ as in she and fish; /w/ as in watch;
/q/ as in quilt; /y/ as in yellow;
/o/ as in octopus; /v/ as in van;
/l/ as in lollipop; /k/ as in kite;
/z/ as in zoo; /g/ as in gum;
/u/ as in umbrella; /i/ as in iguana;
/n/ as in nut; /x/ as in fox.
Please read many RHYMES and POEMS to your child this summer. Some students
are
still having difficulty identifying RHYMING WORD PAIRS, or making up a
matching word to rhyme with the one given.
Take your child to the Slidell Branch of the St. Tammany Public Library for
the SUMMER READING PROGRAM. Mrs. Mims, the Children's Librarian is an old
friend of Bonne Ecole Kindergartners.
