| My role is to help the students in any way I can. In the past counseling
has had a bad stigma. Please understand that just as a child who has a sore
throat can benefit from visiting a doctor, a child who has a hurt heart or
something weighing heavy on their mind can benefit from seeing a counselor.
I receive referrals to see students from teachers and encourage parents to
contact me if they would like me to see their child. I can be reached at
985-645-8668 or via email stacey.boitnott@stpsb.org. Students are also
encouraged to write me a note and place it in my mailbox if they have
something they would like to talk to me about and counseling will be
offered. If counseling requires more than one session, I will seek parental
permission.
