CCTC Foundation

MISSION

The Caddo Career & Technology Center Scholarship Foundation was formed in 1996 by Mr. Ron Adams, then a member of the Caddo Parish School Board and an outspoken advocate for the Caddo Career & Technology Center.  This 501(c)(3) organization accepts tax-deductible contributions from individuals, businesses, associations and trust funds, and provides $1,500 scholarships for qualified applicants to assist with their technical education in a post-secondary school environment.  Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA overall (3.0 in their technical area), must submit their career portfolio, three letters of recommendation including one from their home school, and the endorsement of their instructor at Caddo Career & Technology Center.  The applications and portfolios are then reviewed by a committee of Foundation Board members to determine the scholarship recipients.  In 2008, there were 36 scholarships awarded.  Over the past 13 years, the Foundation has provided 404 scholarships valued at $580,000.00 to deserving students.
