For copies of the All-State Orchestra Audition music contact Mrs. Webb at jewebb@caddo.k12.la.us **Students new to Magnet High School String Orchestra or Chamber Orchestra should make an audition recording of Set 1 All-State audition material. Audition recordings are due June 15, 2013, however, if you do not submit your audition recording, there is still time to do so before school starts. We want to make sure you are an advanced player and not a beginner. Then you will be placed in the class that best suits your technical ability. **When making recordings for chair placements, auditions, playing tests, mid- term tests or final tests, observe the following: Recordings can be audio OR video sent from your phone to my iPhone using voice memo via text message or email. It's best to record each piece and each scale separately if you plan to send them by email or text message, keeping the file as small as possible. Recordings can be turned in using a flash drive, YouTube, YouSendIt, DVD or CD. Make sure your CD, DVD or flash drive recording works in at least two media players. Do not use cassette tapes. Do not record using your phone and expect me to listen to it on the spot. **String Orchestra students should record Set 2 of the All State audition music to audition for chamber orchestra, and Mid-Term/Final playing tests. String Orchestra final playing tests consisting of this All State material can be labeled as such and used as your audition recording for Chamber Orchestra. Chamber Orchestra students record excerpts from the Concerto Concert pieces for the Mid-Term playing test. After All-State auditions in September 2013, both orchestras begin work on Set 3 of the All State audition music.
