Remember, the most important part of the AR program is reading in your "zone"
and being successful on the AR test for each book your read.
AR Scoring Formula:
Add the numerical value of the following elements:
1. Average percent correct on tests (must be 85% or above for full credit)
2. Average percent correct on tests (must be 85% or above for full credit)
3. Reading in or above prescribed reading "zone"
4. Points earned v. Points required
Divide the total by 400. This is the nine weeks percentage score for AR.
Example:
If a student scores an average of 87% on all AR tests and is reading in his
or her "zone", but only earns 8 out of 10 required points:
100 + 100 + 100 + 80 = 380
380/ 400 = 95% score for AR

AR Points – Second Semester
You are required to read one of the following books for
AR this semester. You must test on your choice from this list by April 28. You
will also complete an evaluation form for me based on your reading of the
novel. You must have a minimum of 10 points this semester. All AR points are
due May 8.

English IV
AR Points – Second Semester
You are required to read one of the following books for
AR this semester. You must test on your choice from this list by April 28. You
will also complete an evaluation form for me based on your reading of the
novel. You must have a minimum of 10 points this semester. All AR points are
due May 8.
