Do you accept late work?

If you missed work because of an excused absence, your work will be accepted
and graded as usual. If you are just late, you will earn reduced credit. It
is still important to make up missed work - Reduced credit is better
than "0".

When can I get extra help if I need it?

First, make sure you have read your assignments. Most students who think
they need extra help have just gotten behind on their reading and other
assignments. We have vocabulary & spelling tests everyweek. Plan ahead.
If you truly are confused about an assignment or a particular element we are
covering in class, please arrange a specific time with me before or after
school on Tuesdays.

What is your best advice for success in this class?

Keep up. Start strong and stay strong. Bring your materials with you
everyday. Pay attention and follow instructions. Respect your teacher,
your classmates, and yourself. Do not be satisfied with "Good Enough" -
always strive to do your best. Be neat - every job is a "portrait" of you.
Remember, you are laying a foundation for your future. Don't skimp with your
time or effort. Your future is too important to treat casually. Your
performance in this class will stay with you for four years and will be a
factor in your college choice. Never underestimate the value of doing even
the smallest assignment well. It is never too late to start practicing
Excellence.
