All About Me!

Welcome to Carolyn Park Middle School! My name is Mrs. Love, and I will be your child's homeroom
teacher this year. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.

I am honored to be your child's fourth grade teacher. In addition to a 30-year career in private
industry, I have made education a part of my lifelong career. I have a Master of Art in Teaching from
Southeastern Louisiana University, along with a B.S. Degree in Business from USM, and an A.S. Degree
in Secretarial Science and an A.S. Degree in Business from Jefferson Davis Jr. College.

I live in Madisonville, Louisiana, with my husband and our two children, Maya-13 and Milas-10. We
share our home with Max and Chance, our dogs; Muffin our rabbit, and Re-Re, our hamster. We have
lived in Madisonville for over 21 years. Along with teaching, I enjoy art, photography, music,
gardening, riding my motorcycle, the outdoors, and being with my family.

I am looking forward to a great working relationship with you and your child in order to help him/her
reach his/her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and
grow in the days ahead.

I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to
contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me a note, email me at
(merle.love@stpsb.org) or call me at (school phone 985-643-8593). I will also do my part by posting
a newsletter each week to update you on what we have been/are doing in class as well as things that
are coming up. For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone, send a note home, or email you
(if an email address is provided).

Please feel free to participate in your child's fourth grade year as much as you are able. Helping
hands are always needed. Your participation will enrich our classroom experiences. I have learned
that it takes all of us participating to help your child succeed. What happens in our classroom will
affect your child's future.

I am looking forward to a terrific school year. With your help and cooperation, we will all be
