I Graduated with a B.A. from S.L.U. in May of 2005.
I am married to my wonderful husband Allen Cochran.
I have two daughters: Harley-age 14 & Shelby Jane- age 2years.
I also have two step children: Allison-age 19 & Frankie- age 15.
I live in Pearl River, LA where ever summer we grow a garden.
I love to teach and work with children. I have worked all 3 of my teaching
years here at Carolyn Park where I taught 5th grade. Going into my 4th year I
am very excited to be teaching 4th grade.
I am always willing to learn new things and hear any suggestions.
I have been trained in the following inservices:
WFTB, CHAMPS, Kagan
My class mission is to make life long learners. To do this I want my students
to read each and every night for noless than 15mins. I also want for my
students to locate at least 1 new word each week by using a dictionary,
internet, parent or peer help. Lastly I want for my students to ask questions
as well as try to answer them.
I also want each student in my class to
feel comfortable and safe while learning in my classroom.:)
