Please send enough snack and drink for ___15____ students.
Remember, this is a snack, not a meal. If you send fruit, I will cut it up...half a banana, apple or orange is just fine!
We must serve healthy snacks. I use this time to teach about good nutrition, therefore:
NO LITTLE DEBBIES, SOFT DRINKS or CHIPS.
Juice boxes are great....less spills!
GREAT SNACKS:
Fruit: apples, bananas, oranges, grapes, plums, melons, raisins, peaches, etc.
Vegetables: carrots, celery, broccoli, cucumbers, with ranch dressing for dipping.
Cheese: cubes, or string cheese
Cream Cheese: plain or flavored with crackers to spread it on
Peanut butter with crackers to spread it on
Applesauce (send spoons)
Fruit cups (send spoons)
Pudding or Jello (send spoons)
Snack Crackers : any kind, such as Goldfish, Cheese Nips, etc.
Graham Crackers or Animal Crackers
Dry Cereal (not too sweet, like Cheerios, Chex, etc.)
Trail Mix (dry cereal mixed with nuts and raisins)
Muffins (not iced, like blueberry, banana, etc,)
Granola or Cereal Bars (not chocolate covered)
Yogurt (send spoons) or Go-Gurt
Drinks: Juice drinks, any kind.
