Does my child need a doctor's note when he or she is absent from school?

Yes. Your child can only miss a certain number of days each month. If your
child misses more than the number allowed, our program does not get
reimbursed by the state for your child that month. Your child should only
stay home if he or she is sick or running fever. When your child stays
home , he or she may be missing important teaching and learning taking place
at school.

What supplies does my child need for school each day?

Your child should bring his/her schoolbag with the daily folder inside every
day. All important notes/classwork/homework papers from the school are
placed in the folder each day. You should check inside the folder every day.

How do I use the checked out book in the big brown envelope?

A book comes home in the envelope every Friday. Read checked out book to
your child over the weekend using the form in the envelope and the form on
the back of the envelope. Return book and form in envelope the
following Monday. Please supervise your child when reading the book to show
your child how to care for the book. Thanks!
