I am from Slidell and have lived here almost my entire life. I have been
married for nineteen years to Philip (Rooney) Jr and we have three
children Kaitlin age 14, Trey age 13 and Zachary my baby is 10 years old.
They attend Little Oak Middle, Boyet Jr. High and Northshore High. My husband
Rooney owns and operates Phil's Marina Cafe in Oak Harbor.
This is my ninth year of teaching and my fourth year teaching in the
gifted program. I have a Bachelors degree in education and I am currently
working on my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis
in gifted from SLU. I am excited to be here at Clearwood Jr. High and I
look forward to working with you. I hope to inspire students by making ELA
more enjoyable and challenging.
My mission for the class is to provide a safe ,nuturing environment in
which learning takes place through challenging yet fun activities and
lessons.
