"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." - Chinese Proverb
Hello to all. This my third year as a teacher at Creekside Jr. High School.
I started my education a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away. That
galaxy would be Sixth Ward Jr. High. I have lived in the Pearl River area my
whole life. I attended Pearl River High School and recieved my high school
diploma in 1999. I earned the TOPPS scholarship and was accepted into LSU.
It was there that I decided to become a history teacher. Due to a height
deficiency, my goals of being a jedi master were no longer possible. I
realized that my real dream was to help make a difference in the lives of
young people. I figured that as a teacher I could fulfill my dreams and
teach the cooliest subject in the world, history. I graduated LSU in 2004.
I recieved a B.S. in Secondary Education. I then returned to my home town to
teach at Creekside Jr. High School. For those who dont know I teach 6th
grade World History. I am also the Boy's Soccer coach and a sponsor of the
Creekside Student Council. I have many interests. I love to read books
about history. I love to watch movies especially comic book movies. Batman
is my favorite comic book and my favorite movies are Star Wars and Indiana
Jones. I love all kinds of music. I am also a fan of anything LSU.

Class Mission
I am very happy to be working with you at Creekside Jr. High School this
year. The primary objective of this class is to introduce students to the
wonderful world in which we live. We will explore the ancient history and
physical aspects of our planet. We will also learn how the history and
geography of the world affect the way in which we live. With the help and
understanding of both parents and students, I am sure this will be a
successful year in improving the student’s knowledge of our planet.
Learning is a life long journey. In connection with the vision
of Creekside Jr. High, the sixth grade vision is based on the belief that we
must prepare sixth graders of all backgrounds to become independent, self
directed learners in a junior high school setting.
The goal of the sixth grade teachers is to promote effective
communication with all stakeholders through the use of various technology,
community and school resources.
We strive to provide cross curricular equal opportunities to empower
students of diverse backgrounds. We understand the individual differences of
all students. We view each student as a valued individual, and we are
willing to accommodate each of their differences.
Sixth grade is an important transition period for students.
Creekside is a safe place that understands the student stresses of beginning
a junior high school. Ultimately we equip our sixth graders with the social
skills necessary for them to lead productive and fulfilling lives in an ever-
changing world.
