weather, space, plate tectonics, ocean, minerals, rocks, erosion, earthquakes,
volcanoes, etc. 7th
grade: Life Science— living
things (animals, plants, humans, etc) & their: genetics, cells, evolution,
body systems, diseases, infections, environment/habitat, etc.
Current
Event:
--Must be
dated within two weeks
--The
article must be directly related LA, US, the World, or its leaders, wars, etc.
--Social
“Gossip” type articles will not be accepted.
What
to turn in for each:
The
article
--May come
from the internet, newspaper, or a magazine. www.yahoo.com

are all great internet sources, however, be sure any website, newspaper, or
magazine you use is a reliable one!
--Must be
a minimum of 4 paragraphs
--Must be
included with the summary or summary will NOT be graded
The
summary
--Most be
a minimum of one five sentence paragraph.
--The
summary does NOT have to be typed, but must be neat and easy to read.
--The
summary should be set up as follows: Title of article, Author of article,
Source of article, Date of article, Correct Bibliography Entry, & Summary of
article
--The
summary should include the following information: Who is involved? What
happened/was discovered?
When did
it happen? Where did it happen/get discovered? Why did it happen? How does
this affect us?
--The
summary should be proofread for grammar, usage, punctuation, & spelling.
