I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Thanksgiving. The next three weeks
will be very busy for everyone.
We will not be reading out of our Reading series or using the Spelling
words from our regular series until after the holidays. I thought it would be
nice to do some fun things for Christmas. This week our story is from an old
series that was once used in our parish. It is a fun winter story and the
spelling words are also from the story. We will be beginning a new chapter in
Math. This chapter will be addition and subtraction review and should be easy
for the students. In English we will be learning about verbs and will be
doing a lot of holiday writing. On Thursday we will test out of Unit 5 in
Social Studies and will begin our last unit on Friday. After the holidays we
will begin Science.
I will be sending in our Scholastic Book order on Tuesday. These books will
be here in time for the holidays. On Friday, we will be decorating our tree.
If your child would like to bring in an ornament to put on the tree, they
will be returned after our party. Speaking of parties - our Christmas party
will be before noon on Friday, December 18. More details will be coming soon.
