I hope everyone had a wonderful relaxing holiday. We are ready to
begin a new decade in 2nd grade! This week will bring many changes. As we
begin our 2nd semester, we will be returning to our regular texts for
Reading, Spelling, and Language. We will also begin our semester of Science.
Our stories will be longer, our vocabulary more challenging, our writing
more detailed, and our science and math skills more complex. All this will
better prepare these 2nd graders for IOWA tests in March and put them ahead
of the game in 3rd grade. Report cards will come home this Friday, January
8th.
