Mrs. Ginn's Classroom Procedures

*****Parent/ Teacher Conferences:  Please feel free to contact me at school 
to schedule a conference if you have concerns about your child. I am 
available every school morning from 7:50-8:30 except Wednesday when I'm on 
duty. I do not schedule conferences after school, because I too have a 
family to go home to each afternoon.

Green Folder:  Students should take their green folder home every day, 
including Friday, and bring it back to school every day. Study guides, daily 
work, and notes to parents will be included in the folder. Study guides 
should be left in the clear pockets until we change them out at school.

Homework:  I assign homework daily except for Friday. Conduct marks will be 
given for each incomplete homework assignment.

Assignment Pads:  Homework assignments will be written daily in your AP 
except for Friday. There may be days when we have a few minutes to work on 
homework in class, but the assignments should still be recorded on your pad. 
Conduct will be recorded daily on your child's current conduct sheet. 
Parents should sign their child's conduct sheet every Friday. I will check 
for signatures on Monday.
 
Absences: If your child is absent, please call the school so that you may 
pick up missed work. I will provide an outline of assignments. He or she 
will have one day for each missed day to make up work or scheduled tests.
 
Study Guides: I provide a new study guide each Monday that includes reading 
vocabulary words, spelling words, and a list of tests for the week. I will 
also give your child a study guide for Social Studies or Science. Our test 
will come from that study guide, so if your child studies the SG, he or she 
will pass the test.

Graded Test Papers: I will send home graded test papers each Wednesday. 
Please sign and date the sheet in the front of the folder and return the 
folder and test papers on Wednesday.

changes in transportation of your child, or any other issues that may 
require a timely reply.

Multiplication Facts: Each student must master multiplication facts. We will 
begin drilling facts very soon. Please make or purchase flash cards for your 
child and begin drilling at home.
