Each week, one of our third grade Gateway superstars will be highlighted as
"Megastar of the Week". A note will go home the week before along with the
Star Bag to collect items. The following activities will take place:
*Monday: STAR BAG- Student will return and share with classmates the Star Bag
filled with items that have special meaning. Student should also bring
photos to be displayed on the Megastar billboard.
*Tuesday: FAVORITE BOOK- The Megastar of the Week will bring his or her
favorite picture book.
*Wednesday: PARENT LETTER- Parents will write a letter to the class telling
us how special your child is to you. Send the letter in a sealed envelope,
and I will read it during class. Ideas for the letter: Describe special or
funny stories, write a serious or silly poem about your child, tell us
something awesome that we may not know, or send a meaningful photo and
describe it.
*Thursday: LUNCH BUDDY- On this special day, the Megastar Student can sit
near a friend at lunch. Parents are also encouraged to come to lunch, or you
can send a special lunch on this day. (Lunchroom rules apply.)
*Friday: FRIENDSHIP POSTER: The Megastar of the Week will be presented
with a friendship poster created by his or her Gateway friends!
