"Star Student of the Week"
Each student will have the opportunity to be the “star student of the
week”. At the beginning of that week, your child will need to bring
pictures to share with the class. The pictures will be all about your
child! Think of a creative way to share with us your child's favorite book,
what they want to be when they grow up, their favorite foods, favorite toys,
and favorite things to do. You will need pictures of your
family, your child's friends, pets and of course, your child!!. Be creative
and have fun doing this together. I will use sticky tac to hang the
pictures you send so be sure you don't send anything that is heavy.
Here are some of the things your child will encounter during their special
week:
**Monday—Buzzy the bear(our class mascot) will come to spend the week with
your child. He will have his journal, so please write down the adventures
they share and add photos, too. He comes back on Friday.
**Tuesday--Fill the estimation jar (provided) with any number of items up to
50. The class will estimate how many items are in the jar. (Be sure to
let Mrs. Fajardo know the correct amount!). Avoid unwrapped foods or candy.
**Wednesday—Bring a “surprise” sack today. A Surprise sack is a sack that
has
an item that begins with our sound study or goes with our theme/season.
Your child will need to give the class three clues about the object. They
will get to guess what it is. (Be creative.) **It is fun when the children
get to keep what is inside, so when possible, send one for each child.
**Thursday—Invite someone special to come eat lunch today.
**Friday—The class will make a special book for your child!!
**Daily--Your child will get to nap in the Reading Loft and I will have a
special treat for your child.
