Dear Honeybee Friends,
Happy New Year! Thank you all for the many holiday cards, gift cards
and lovely gifts. You are all so kind and generous. I am so blessed to work
in such a wonderful school with such caring and supportive parents. Your
children make me smile everyday.
As finish the first sememster I want to tell you how proud I am of the
children's progress. We move at a pretty rapid pace and work hard everyday.
We will be concentrating a good bit on reading fluency during the third and
fourth nine weeks so it is important to have your child read aloud to you
everyday. You should also continue to read aloud to your child everyday.
You will notice the homework cover sheets and RAH sheets are requiring a
minimum of 15 minutes per night soon. Remember, if you are reading chapter
books with your child, each chapter counts as one book. I know you are all
busy but the time you spend reading to and with your child will provide
unlimited benefits. Thanks for your support with this.
I hope everyone had a safe and restful Christmas break. I wish you all
