"Star Student of the Week"
(see schedule below)
Each student will have the opportunity to be the “star student of the
week”. At the beginning of that week, your child will need to bring a
poster to share with the class. The poster will be all about your
child! It should have things like the name of their favorite book, what
they want to be when they grow up, their favorite foods, favorite toys,
favorite things to do, and lots of pictures. You will need pictures of your
family, their friends, pets and of course, the child!!. Be creative and
have fun doing this together. Everything will need to fit on the poster
board (no loose pictures, please).
Here are some of the special things your child will encounter during their
week:
Monday—Our class mascot will come to spend the night with
your child. He will have his journal, so please write down the adventures
they share and add photos, too.
Tuesday--Fill the estimation bag with any number of items. We will place
these items in our estimation jar. The class will spend the rest of the
week estimating how many items are in the jar. (Be sure to let Mrs. Allen
know the correct amount and please make sure the number is under 50!)
Wednesday—Bring a “surprise” sack today. Inside the sack needs to be one
item that begins with our sound study or goes with our theme/season. Have
three clues to tell the class. They will get to guess what it is. (Be
creative.)
Thursday—Invite someone special to come eat lunch with me.
Friday—Bring your favorite "G" rated movie for snack time/nap time.
You will get a special surprise from Mrs. Allen each day of your star
student week!!
