Dear Parents and Students,
The third 9 weeks is off to an exciting start between Science and Social
Studies fairs, Figurative Language projects, and the amazing Discoveries and
Gateway field trip to Houston. The A.R. deadlines for this 9 weeks are
posted on the calendar section of this website.
We are wrapping up our unit on figurative language this week. I have seen
some of the projects already and they are amazing! We will begin studying
adjectives and adverbs next.
I have rescheduled the "How-to" essay project to accomodate for our auction
project and more narrative and descriptive writing practice prior to LEAP.
For the auction project, I would love for you to send (or even better, EMAIL,
current pictures of your child to me. I would like a mixture of school and
non-school related pictures. I am also asking for any parents that are
available for short amounts of time during the day to come and snap some
candid shots of your kids to be used for this project. I don't want to give
too much away, but I know you will LOVE our auction item! (It will be
available to everyone.)
