Just a little something about your Librarian

My name is Mrs. T.J.Kelly. 
I have 24 years of experience in educating and instructing elementary 
students in grades K-6 from both the classroom setting as well as from the 
Library Media Center.  
I've been married for 28 years, to my middle school sweetheart, Ken Kelly.  
We have 2 children who are both married.
We have 1 grandson - Zander, my little "Z-man".  He lives in Phoenix, AZ 
right now with his dad, our son, Adam and his wife Sandy. Adam and his family 
will be moving back home with us in September after he completes his 
commitment to the USAF.  We are all very excited to be reunited again.  We 
also have 1 granddaughter - Kelly, my "lil'girlfriend" who belongs 
to our daughter Lori and her husband Josh.  They live here.  
We also have 1 dog, D.D. who doesn't know she's an animal and certainly isn't 
treated like one.
When I am not busy working in the library or at school, I enjoy watching 
birds. I have almost a dozen birdfeeders and on the weekends I make sure they 
are full so my feathered friends will keep visiting our home.

Objective and Role of the Library/Media Center

The #1 objective of the Fairfield Elementary Magnet Library Media Center is 
to support and enhance school wide learning.  The library media center is 
just another part of each and every classroom at Fairfield.
All students, their parents, as well as every staff member is welcome in the 
Library Media Center throughout the school day.
This library is set up with a Flexible and Semi-Open Access Schedule. 
All of the teachers select a library time and day that best fits their 
schedules.  Times not taken for checking out books are open for classes to 
come to the library for whole group activities and lessons.
