CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT POLICY Ms. B. M. Walters EXPECTIONS: 1. Be on Time. *Tardiness causes distractions and therefore is unacceptable. *A Tardy is turned in to the office and is tracked by the office. See handbook for policy. 2. Be Prepared. *Have everything you need for class when you enter the classroom – DO NO MAKE EXCUSES! *NO ONE will be allowed to leave the classroom. 3. BE RESPECTFUL to OTHERS and YOURSELF. *Stay seated; keep your hands and feet to yourself. *Raise your hand to speak. *Speak and act respectfully. 4. Be Responsible. *Follow directions and take care of yourself. Assist others politely when asked. *Work in groups cooperatively. 5. Be a Hard Worker. *Do not waste time. *Complete all assignments neatly and correctly by the given due date. **As required by school policy, all food, gum, candy, and drinks are to be kept out of the classroom. **Cheating of any kind (including copying homework or class assignments) will be recorded as a zero in the grade book. **All school/parish rules/policies are to be followed. CONSEQUENCES: 1. Warning: verbal, visual, and/or written 2. Theme assignment with a parental signature 3. Parent contact 4. Referral to administration ***Constant disruption and/or severe infraction or disrespect to teacher or fellow classmates will result in immediate parental contact and/or referral to administration. Any student who misbehaves during the classroom period is infringing on the rights of others to learn. This type of behavior is inappropriate and will NOT be tolerated.
