Reading (1) Reading Counts: Students continue to read class novel My Brother Sam Is Dead. They will document pages read each day and summarize those pages in their reading logs. Upon completion, they will take the computer test on the novel worth 10 points toward the required Reading Counts goal (25 regular ed, 30 Honors). Students will then take an open- book, teacher- created test on the book which will count as a reading test grade. Students may read other Reading Counts books at home while reading the required novel in class.Reading Counts ends Oct. 2 (2) Students will identify , create, and interpret figurative language.
