How much homework will my child have?

Generally we do all of our work in class. There will be times when they don't
finish a classroom assignment, and it must be finished for homework.

How will my child earn points in your classroom?

Daily grades will account for 60% of the students overall grade. Tests and
the 9 weeks exam will each count for 20%. It is extremely important that the
students complete their daily assignments. Even if they don't test very well,
if they have completed their daily work their grades will be much higher.

How will my child make up work missed due to an absence?

It is the students responsibility to ask for make-up work upon returning to
school after an absence. This make-up work must be completed in the same
number of days that the student was absent.

What is the planner?

The planner is a tool which we use to communicate with parents/guardians of
our students. We check to see that assignments are written in the planner
every day. If you need to let us know something, or have a question, just
write it in your child's planner.
