Homework

THIS IS THE FIRST WEEK OF THE 2ND 9 WKS. EARTH SCIENCE WILL COVER CHAPTERS 5, 
6, 7, 8, & 9 DURING THIS GRADING PERIOD.

LIFE SCIENCE WILL COVER CHAPTERS 4, 5, 6, & 7 - CELL REPRODUCTION, HEREDITY, 
EVOLUTION AND BACTERIA.

READ, READ, READ, YOUR SCIENCE TEXTBOOK EVERY NIGHT AND ASK QUESTIONS IN 
CLASS EVERYDAY.   PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE COMPLETELY READ CH. 6 on CHANGE 
OVER TIME BY Friday, NOV. 13th AND COMPLETE THE DEFNITIONS AS YOU READ SO 
THAT YOU CAN LEARN these defintions in context.

DAILY HOMEWORK:  Earth/Life Science:  Read everynight and refer to the Weekly 
schedule for nightly homework.  Print it out for reference. Week of NOV. 9th
thru NOV. 13th 2009 - Definitions are due for both subjects, I'll check 
them in the notebook.  

EARTH SCIENCE:  MONDAY - No homework Monday thru Thursday nights due to Tech. 
Lab. on Friday, Nov. 13th Read Ch. 10 Plate Tectonics and prepare a puzzle 
for Monday, Nov. 16th, 2009 to share with peers.


LIFE SCIENCE: MONDAY, READ CH. 6, SECTION 1 CHANGE OVER TIME, & COMPLETE 
EVIDENCE WORKSHEET AFTER DECIDING WITH YOUR PARTNER WHO WAS THE CULPRIT IN 
THE CASE OF MAGIC, TUES. NIGHT'S HOMEWORK: READ SECTION 1 AGAIN AND MEMORIZE 
DARWIN'S PRINCIPLES OF EVOLUTION, WED. NITE READ CH. 6 SECTION 2, AND 
COMPLETE FROG ACTIVITY OBJECTIVE WHICH IS TO CREATE A PICTURE/OR A MODEL OF A 
CAMOUFLAGED FROG FOR YOUR CHOSEN ENVIRONMENT THEN CONSTRUCT YOUR FROG, THURS. 
READ SECTION 2 AGAIN THE LIST THE 5 TYPES OF EVIDENCE FOR EVOLUTION, AND 
FRI., CONDUCT THE ACTIVITY "LIVING WITHOUT THUMBS."  RETURN WITH A WRITTEN 
PARAPGRAPH ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE.


 
Daily homework is on the Weekly Schedule or the Homework Head icon, please 
refer to it when keeping up with your student's daily requirements.


SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT HOMEWORK: EARTH & LIFE SCIENCE:   STEP #4: WORK ON 
TESTING, COLLECTING DATA, AND PREPARING A GRAPH FOR NOV. 19th, 2009.  All 
parts of the science fair project must be typed.

*******ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE ORIGINAL AND BE HIGHLY MOTIVATING TO STUDENTS 
BECAUSE THEY WILL WORK FOR PART OF 1st 9 WKS. AND ALL OF 2nd 9 WKS. ON THIS 
PROJECT.  IT CAN BE A CONTINUATION of LAST YEAR'S SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT using 
another question. STUDENTS MAY WORK IN PARTNERS ON A SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT.
